All the Selection Grade Stenographers BS-15 are congratulation for their up-gradation in BS-16 in Sindh Government Finance Department issued notification and clarification attached for ready reference and pray that all the Provinces immediately issued letter for up gradation and stenographers of other provinces are move for their rights in the above mentioned clarification for their further benefits. And stenographers BS-16 already prior to upgradation are also BS-17 in the above mentioned notification and clarification. Hope all of you would be fine. I wish to draw attention of all of you towards a very serious issue being faced by us here in our deptt which is one of the biggest industrial giant in Pakistan. We APS after being up-graded are only getting financial benefits of BS-16 and no other privileges has been extended to this devoted class as yet. They are not being treated as Gazetted Class-II officers like all other BS-16 officers like Establishment Officer and Store Officer and Technical Officers who all are in BS-16 too. Their service record is not being maintained centrally as of those who are in BS-16. They can not use the application form which is designed for all BS-16 officers instead that are forced to use the application form meant for staff (BS-15 and below). Furthermore, for promotion to BS-17, APS are not being considered with all other entitled categories like Estt Officers and Store Officers, thus situation has not changed altogether for them as they were previously stuck in BS-15 and now they are stuck in BS-16, only that is the difference. Despite the fact, that due to sheer hard work of Mr. Khalid, Estt Division have declared APS as gazetted class-II officers who can sign and attest the papers with his stamp like all other gazetted officers. We want clarification to this aspect and also want guidance from Mr. Khalid and all our APS community, how to tackle these hurdles.
Assalam-o-alaikum, all the steno brothers. I belong to District Judiciary Sindh, I was enjoying selection grad 15, and according to upgradation notification now I am working in grad 16, but i am not being treated as gazetted. Here in District Judiciary according to Rules, appointment of stenographer is in Grad 15 and likely to be retired as stenographer, we are not being promoted in any higher post. please guide me.
My humble suggestion is, change the name of Forum. From Forum of Stenographers to 'Forum of APS and PSs". After all you got this status after a long struggle.
